Cultural Heritage

An assessment has been undertaken to determine potential effects of the windfarm on archaeological features. This has involved consultations with a number of relevant parties, along with desk based studies and site visits.

There are no Scheduled Ancient Monuments or listed buildings located within the site boundary, nor does any part of the site lie within a Registered Historic Park or Garden. If necessary, appropriate intrusive archaeological works (such as trial trenching) may be carried out at the locations of the turbines in advance of construction. In addition, an archaeological watching brief will be carried out during construction, to record details of any remains that are revealed.
